What Happens Next
We usually get out for a look within a day or two. The visit takes about twenty minutes for residential flatwork. You get a written estimate with the thickness, reinforcement, finish, and cleanup spelled out, and there is no charge and no obligation attached to it.

Before You Call Anyone
Get more than one estimate, and compare what is written on them rather than the number at the bottom. The three things that separate a real bid from a cheap one are slab thickness, reinforcement, and whether base rock and compaction are specified at all. A bid that says "pour new driveway" and nothing else is not a bid you can hold anybody to. Ask every contractor for a license number and proof of workers' compensation while you are at it.
